Heather and Chris had a beautiful ceremony and reception among st the trees at The Walnut Grove in Moorpark, California. I rush edited their video so they could show it two weeks later to the family and friends at their hometown reception in Philadelphia!
Sumer and Kendall met at their office where they both work as Hollywood talent agents! What a cool job, right? Kendall fell in love right away but took awhile to work up the nerve to ask Sumer out on a date. From there, the rest was history. These two are able to work together everyday and still keep their romance fresh and affectionate. Filming their wedding at the Del Rey Yacht Club was so much fun! Their highlights video features some awesome drone footage and a song (the last one) performed live by Kendall's super-talented mom!
These two bright, happy spirits tied the knot in an intimate Cardiff Reef State Beach ceremony followed by dinner and dancing alongside the waves! It was so perfect for these two surfers! Alessandra is one of my best friends in the world, so I was so happy I got to be with her for all of her special day, from the pre-makeup Buti yoga session to the many heartfelt toasts by family members. Congratulations Alex and Garek!
These lovebirds are dear friends and they have the BEST proposal story. Since they both love surfing, Garek proposed to Alex while they were out on their boards. He even held onto the ring in his mouth while paddling out through the waves so he wouldn't lose it!
I'm actually long overdue on posting this photo shoot, so stay tuned for their full wedding, coming up soon!
It was so great to bust out my camera again after a few months of "the slow season" for us wedding photographers/videographers. April and Colin found me online and it was great to meet them! They have such a wonderful, light-hearted, chemistry together. Best wishes, you lovebirds!
Kayleigh and Cody's beautiful ceremony took place at the historic San Diego Mission cathedral and their reception started off with a gorgeous sunset over the bay. I loved Kayleigh's authentically beautiful smile throughout the day and Cody's fun-loving goofy dance moves. Congratulations Kayleigh and Cody!
A few months ago I had the pleasure of working on a shoot for LGBTQ advocacy group Equality California. I got hooked up with this project because the director attended a wedding I was shooting! Gotta love connections!
This shoot was super cool because it was so different from stuff I usually work on. I felt like a real documentary professional, which I guess, technically I am; I just don't feel that way all the time. We got to interview a ton of important politicians and leaders in San Diego and Long Beach. It was a long day but I was so happy to be involved and it was a great confidence-booster for me! Check it out!

Sara loves trees. Thiago loves the ocean. So it was only fitting that we include both in their San Diego winter engagement session! First we walked around Balboa Park and then headed to Sunset Cliffs to wrap it up. Love these two!
First of all, no one at this wedding could agree on whether the best abbreviation of "Colton and Kelsey" was "Coltsey" or "Kelton." I said "Coltsey" first, so that's what I'm going with! In all seriousness, these kids are two of my greatest friends. Kelsey and I have known each other for years and I can't help but enthusiastically agree that she and Colton are soulmates. We all went to Italy together, and I was the first one to find out after they got engaged! I had the honor of shooting their engagement photos and then, their wedding! Believe me, I also danced my face off, camera in hand, having a great time celebrating these two with their nearest and dearest.
The girls started getting ready at an awesome airy beach house in Carlsbad, rented by Kelsey's family who were all from out of state.
The ceremony took place guerilla-style at La Jolla Hermosa Park overlooking the Pacific. "What are we going to do if there are already people there?" a friend asked. "Ask them nicely to leave, I guess..." I replied, "We've got a wedding to throw!" Luckily the park was empty when the first guests arrived to stake out our spot.
For the reception, we drove to Colton's dad's house in Valley Center. I love at-home receptions! As magic hour approached, the light was perfect for the last few couple's portraits, and some love from the families!
The reception decor featured Coltsey's love of surfing and nature, plus some great food and beer and a rocking good time! I had SO MUCH FUN and can't wait to watch these two beautiful souls grow together.
I had a great time in the sunny hills of Malibu filming Iva and David's traditional Jewish wedding. The Malibou Lake Mountain Club has such a classic and elegant feel! I hope I get to shoot there again! Congrats Iva and David!
I had a great time snapping some pics for my friends on Simply Fresh, a delicious and healthy gourmet sandwich truck making the rounds in San Diego. They served at a crazy cool event space, Silo at Makers Quarter in the East Village. Food photography is challenging but it was super fun to get some practice! These guys make great food and they also deliver several nights a week, so definitely check out www.simplyfreshdelivered.com if you're hungry!
When I first met Lili + Devin I could immediately see how in love they were. As Lili's MOH describes it, "You guys are best friends and you're so comfortable together." This wedding highlights also features my first ever drone footage, giving us an epic aerial view of the ceremony! (courtesy of ABI Photo)
My dear friends Katie and Enzo's big day finally happened! I was thrilled to film a wedding with many of my close friends in attendance, and also super excited for the food! Katie is a vegan chef so she meticulously designed the menu for the outstanding 5-course dinner reception. As a vegan I'm used to eating salad and bread at weddings, so this was a refreshing change! Here's their wedding highlights video premiere!
Amanda + Isaac, both California transplants, met in the Marine Corps and both served tours overseas. Their beachy, intimate ceremony and restaurant reception included lots of fun vintage-inspired details!
"We just fit, we just flow together," Katie explained during this Love Story shoot. I couldn't agree more! These two are PERFECT for each other and I'm so excited for their wedding THIS WEEKEND! Until then, enjoy my first official Love Story Documentary!
If you'd love this kind of film to show at your rehearsal dinner or reception, drop me a line!
Mel and I go way back. We met through a mutual friend one summer while galavanting around High Street in Columbus, Ohio. Since then she's always been solid as a rock-- always there for adventures and heart-to-hearts. Melissa visited us in San Diego earlier this year and promptly decided to move here! Brina is obviously equally adventurous as she trusted Mel completely and was totally down to move to SoCal sight unseen! I'm so happy to have these two as neighbors now and to photograph their upcoming wedding!
Kelsey was one of my first real friends in San Diego. We moved here around the same time (me from Ohio, her from New Jersey) and met working at the same restaurant. Since then our friendship has grown through lots of pints and lots of adventures- surfing, biking, and an amazing trip to Italy to visit our mutual friend Amanda. It was while wandering the cobblestone streets of Florence that she and Colton, who I've also grown to love, decided to tie the knot!
I'm incredibly excited to celebrate and photograph their wedding in October! They also agreed to be my first engagement photo shoot so a few days ago we hit up some La Jolla ocean overlooks to snap these during a gorgeous sunset. I am SO HAPPY with the results and SO HAPPY for these two!
Amanda and Isaac had a very sunny and cheerful wedding in Cuvier Park in La Jolla yesterday, with only a small, intimate group of family and friends at the ceremony and reception. Just LOOK at that vintage dress! It's amazing! I was a short dress bride and I always LOVE to see short wedding dresses. Short dress solidarity!
